How it Works
Download the latest version of x-plane. These downloads are used for both the DEMO AND UPDATE! If you do NOT have an X-Plane8 CD, these downloads act as a demo... they will stop the joystick after 6 minutes. If you DO have an X-Plane 8, these downloads act as an update... they will use the joystick for the whole flight.
Your X-Plane CD comes with several programs for Mac, PC,and Linux: X-Plane (the actual flight simulator) Part-Maker (to make airfoils for your aircraft if you would like to make your own planes). Plane-Maker (to make your own planes and helos if desired) World-Maker (to make your own scenery to fly in if you like) Weather-Briefer (to get a weather-briefing before your flight if desired) X-Plane X-Plane comes with scenery for the entire United States, Alaska, Canada, Western Europe, Australia, and Japan, and about 40 different airplanes ranging from the Cessna 172 to the 777, so you hardly need to design your own planes and scenery, but the tools are there for you if you want them.
