NDT Methods
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) enables the inspection of aircraft, components and structures without causing damage or affecting their serviceability. At Boost Air Components, we carry out inspections in accordance with EN 4179, tailored to the requirements of operators, MROs and manufacturers.
This method enables the detection and evaluation of surface-breaking defects with a high level of accuracy. At Boost Air Components, all penetrant testing inspections are carried out in accordance with the highest industry standards, ensuring reliable and consistent results.
Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) is a key NDT method for detecting surface and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials. By applying magnetic particles to the component, defects become clearly visible, enabling accurate and reliable inspection.
Eddy Current Inspection is a key non-destructive testing method for detecting surface and near-surface defects in conductive materials. By inducing electromagnetic currents in the component, it enables the accurate detection of cracks, corrosion and other discontinuities without damaging the material.
Ultrasonic Testing (UT) is a widely used NDT method for detecting internal and surface defects in materials and components. Using high-frequency sound waves, it provides accurate and reliable inspection, even in areas that are inaccessible to visual examination.
Industrial Radiography is an NDTmethod used to examine the internal structure of components and detect hidden defects. Its high penetration capability provides detailed images, enabling the accurate identification of internal discontinuities and ensuring reliable inspection results.
