Job Description

Boost Air is looking for a Flight Operations Technical Officer to join our team in Alcobendas. The main purpose of this role is to support the development, control and updating of operational procedures and flight manuals for the fleet, ensuring that flight operations meet the highest standards of safety and technical performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procedure Management: Support the implementation, control and documentation of internal procedures applicable to the Flight Operations Technical Office and Operations Manual.
  • Aerodrome & Route Analysis: Carry out the technical assessment and categorisation of aerodromes and routes to ensure crew competency requirements are met and aircraft performance is suitable for the planned operation.
  • Performance & Safety: Conduct technical studies covering driftdown, cruise depressurisation and contingency procedures associated with SID/STAR operations, take-off and landing.
  • Flight Documentation: Maintain and update the company’s aircraft flight manuals and manage the required technical subscriptions.
  • Weight & Balance: Establish and monitor Dry Operating Mass (DOM) and prepare load and trim sheets.
  • Supplier Oversight: Monitor and supervise subcontractors supporting the Flight Operations Technical Office.
  • Data Analysis: Perform technical analysis of flight data and maintain cosmic radiation records where required.

Requirements

Education

  • Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Air Transport Management & Operations, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Other qualifications may also be considered where the candidate has relevant experience in a Technical Office, Flight Operations, Aircraft Performance or airline planning environment, or with a specialised aviation service provider.Experience & Skills 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Technical level of English.
  • Visual Basic programming skills.
    Knowledge of Power BI.
    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

What We Offer

  • Hybrid working model: 2 days remote one week and 1 day remote the following week.
  • Flexible working hours, with a start time between 7:45 am and 9:00 am.
    Monday to Thursday, flexible finish time depending on start time and lunch break (between 30 minutes and 2 hours).
  • Reduced working hours on Fridays and throughout August.
