Job Description

At Boost Air Group, we are looking for an Aviation Technical Buyer to join our team in Castellón. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring the materials, aircraft parts, tools and services required for our aircraft maintenance operations, working closely with Production, Stores and the Procurement Department in Granadilla.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase requests for the Castellón facility.
  • Request, analyse and compare supplier quotations, taking into account price, availability, lead times, transport, documentation and commercial terms.
  • Manage the procurement of aircraft parts, consumables, tools and equipment.
  • Arrange the rental of tools and specialised equipment for scheduled maintenance activities and specific operational requirements.
  • Source and develop national and international suppliers, negotiating prices, lead times and commercial terms in line with departmental guidelines.
  • Issue and monitor purchase, repair and rental orders.
  • Coordinate transport, collections and deliveries with the Logistics Department, including urgent transport requirements when necessary.
  • Monitor orders and keep relevant departments informed of purchasing and delivery status.
  • Verify that materials and tools are supplied with all required documentation and traceability, including CoC, EASA Form 1, FAA Form 8130-3 and calibration certificates.
  • Manage supplier issues relating to documentation, materials, pricing, delivery times and warranties.
  • Keep purchasing information up to date in the system, including prices, suppliers and expected delivery dates.
  • Participate in supplier evaluation and approval processes.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Higher Vocational Qualification in Transport & Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration & Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry and Part-145 maintenance organisations will be considered an advantage.

Knowledge & Skills

  • B2 level of English.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with procurement ERP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) will be considered an advantage.

  • Standard working hours from Monday to Friday, with flexible start times between 8:00 am and 9:00 am and finish times between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm, subject to hangar operational requirements.
  • During C-checks, the role will temporarily move to a 5 days on / 5 days off (5 ON / 5 OFF) shift pattern, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
