Continuing Airworthiness Engineer – CAMO

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage Flight Logs and Deferred Defect Lists, verifying defects, inspections, rectifications, deferrals and certifications.
• Oversee defect rectification and ensure technical records and damage maps are kept up to date.
• Prepare, update and submit Aircraft Maintenance Programmes for approval.
• Plan maintenance checks and monitor ADs, SBs, repairs, modifications and components.
• Manage extensions of maintenance tasks and deferred defects in accordance with approved procedures.
• Analyse planning deviations and coordinate the necessary changes.
• Coordinate slots, quotations, lead times and resources with maintenance organizations.
• Oversee contracted maintenance checks, including Work Requests, CRS and technical documentation, ensuring that continuing airworthiness records are kept up to date.
• Prepare Maintenance Programme effectiveness reports and monitor engine reliability through Engine Trend Monitoring.
• Review EASA and AESA requirements and Airworthiness Directives, determining their applicability and ensuring compliance.
• Plan and control modifications and repairs, including the assessment of non-mandatory modifications.
• Keep Weight and Balance documentation up to date.
• Prepare and update the MEL in accordance with manufacturers’ MMELs and EASA regulations, managing its submission to AESA.
• Prepare technical documentation for aircraft sales, valuations, deliveries and transfers.
• Coordinate the introduction of new aircraft into the AOC and CAMO, including registration and acceptance by the relevant authorities.
• Manage suppliers and external systems such as CAMP, CMP and TRAXXALL.
• Prepare documentation for PBN, RVSM, NAT/HLA and RNP operational approvals and manage its submission to AESA.
• Monitor aircraft and component service life: hours, cycles, landings, calendar limits, life limits and TBO.
• Review documentation issued by contracted maintenance organizations.
• Manage ferry flights and permits to fly.
• Perform scheduled CAMO on-call duties after the probationary period and subject to supervisor approval.
