Daniel García Guelbenzu Appointed Managing Director of Boost Air’s Defence Division

6 April 2026. Boost Air, the company formed through the integration of Gestair, Brok-air and ATS Aviation, has appointed Daniel García Guelbenzu as Managing Director of its Defence Division. The appointment strengthens the company’s commitment to operational excellence and growth in the strategically important defence market, both in Spain and internationally.

Daniel García Guelbenzu takes on this new role at a time of strategic growth for Boost Air, further consolidating the company’s presence in the defence market with a focus on security, operational readiness and strategic autonomy.

Daniel García Guelbenzu brings more than 25 years of experience in the aerospace and defence sectors, with an extensive track record in strategic, operational and commercial leadership across leading international companies.

As Managing Director of MBDA Spain (2010–2021), he led the division’s growth from its inception, establishing it as a recognised leader in defence systems in Spain while developing engineering capabilities that are unique within the sector.

Prior to this, he held a number of senior positions at GE Aviation (2001–2010), Airbus (1999–2001) and Boeing (1997–1999), where he demonstrated strong leadership in developing strategic industrial partnerships, building long-term industrial capabilities in Spain, and delivering lasting value to military customers.

Since 2021, he has also worked as an independent consultant specialising in the defence and aerospace sectors, advising companies across a broad range of disciplines. He has maintained a well-established network of relationships within the European defence ecosystem and possesses in-depth knowledge of the defence regulatory environment.
