Margalida Salis appointed as Boost Air’s new Director of Commercial Aviation MRO

Madrid, 23 May 2026. Boost Air, a Spanish aviation group formed through the merger of Gestair, Brok-air and ATS Aviation, has announced the appointment of Margalida Salis as Director of Boost Air Commercial, the group’s business unit specialising in commercial aviation maintenance. In this role, she will contribute to the development of the maintenance division and to strengthening relationships with commercial aviation clients.

Margalida Salis, an aeronautical engineer, has over 10 years’ experience in the field of aircraft maintenance, gained at various airlines, with a career particularly focused on maintenance production, AOG management, planning, logistics, the procurement of MRO services and the management of aircraft undergoing hangar maintenance.

Her appointment is part of Boost Air’s strategy to continue strengthening its capabilities in the MRO sector, one of the group’s cornerstones, which encompasses line and base maintenance, technical support, components, planning, design, modification and specialised services for various segments of the aviation market.

Margalida Salis began her career at Volotea, in the engineering and reliability department, where she became familiar with the technical management of fleets and the handling of aircraft undergoing maintenance. She subsequently joined Air Europa, where she continued to develop her expertise in reliability and fleet changes.

Her career path then took her to Albastar, where she took charge of the airline’s 24-hour service and line maintenance contracts.

She later joined Iberojet as deputy head of the maintenance production department, expanding her remit to include long-haul aircraft and taking on roles related to logistics, planning, contracts, major maintenance invoicing and base maintenance. During this period, she also acted as stand-in for the Technical Director, which enabled her to participate in drawing up the airline’s budgets and strategic plans.
